Cruisin'

I've hit the trifecta! I've been on a plane, a train and now a boat!

Jeff and I recently returned from the vacation of a lifetime, via a Carnival FunShip out of New Orleans enroute to Cozumel, Mexico.

Hey, if it doesn't involve driving, cleaning, doing dishes, laundering laundry, bathing kids, changing diapers, refreeing fights, then it is the vacation of a lifetime! :)

It was nice -- until we left Cozumel. Eight-to-ten-foot seas plagued us from the time we departed until we hit the Mississippi River. Many people were sick Sunday and the bars weren't doing as brisk a business that day as they were Friday (Don't ask me how, but people were saddled up to the bars at 8 a.m. that morning).

There were things I liked about the cruise and things I wasn't too crazy about. It was nice not to have to worry about anything but having a good time and the food was pretty good (we actually had better food in Cozumel).

But, gambling doesn't do anything for me and I'm usually in bed when the clubs start hopping.

Cozumel was nice. We started out the morning sampling tequilas and brought some home only found in Mexico. Thanks to a friend's recommendation, we found a really neat place to eat and had some delicious grouper!

We hope to cruise again with the kids in tow. Thanks to Camp Carnival, they will have a wonderful cruising experience as well. There will be times where they can play their video games at Camp Carnival in the evening while Mom and Dad are enjoying carnivale!

With this relatively positive experience, we're looking to cruise in the future on a boat having unique activities and itineraries!
