Raising kids is not only tough work, but a grand adventure.Aside from the air fresherner blinding attempts and the overnight hospital stays, the kids really do add a certain spice to my life that makes the days interesting.
It's not the grand things they do that make me so happy, but it's the little things that I enjoy and cherish.
And with a baby (well, semi-toddler) in the house, the little things start rushing back to me of how the older two acted at the same age.
One little thing that I will never forget is the night time routine of the kids.
Before Joshua's head would hit the pillow, we would have to tell the school buses, big trucks and fire trucks "nite-nite." Then, in order to fall asleep, he had to hold on to an ear -- not his ear, but someone else's.
Jonas needed a warm body. That's it -- no telling anything "nite-nite." Just a snuggle partner and he was right to sleep.
Anna needs her belly button. She cannot start to sleep until she finds that belly button.
Three kids with three very different routines!
The three kids have also walked at different ages and different stages.

It seems that Anna may be the late bloomer. After scooting from place to place, she finally began crawling at 17 months. She also started to attempt to walk at the same time.
It's hard not to compare her to the boys and to her peers. Everyone in her class of 10 to 20 month olds was walking shortly after they moved up to her class, if not before.
But, now she spends more time on two legs rather than "four." I really got even more excited when we arrived to pick her up at daycare last week.
She was standing, and walking around, just like her peers.
This "little thing" -- standing and walking -- gives me confidence that she's on her way!

Kids really are awesome. I do that a lot to comparing my 4 and 1 year old and realize that it is so cool that they have totally different personalities. It keeps things interesting I say.
she is beautiful!
