Unbelievable!

My Tigers have made it, by the skin of their teeth, to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

WOO HOO!

After a season of ups and downs, near cardiac arrests, injury after injury and some off-field infractions, the LSU Fighting Tigers climbed head and shoulders above the rest to get a piece of the CHAMPIONSHIP action!

My poor Tigers were so broken up after the Arkansas loss, with only a handful of players willing to meet the press after the game.

At that point, the hopes of a national title were deep in the barrel.

Sure enough, the next week, some male coworkers of mine said -- There's NO WAY LSU will be contending for the national championship.

Oh really? said I. There was still the slimest chance we could slip in, especially with the way football has been played this topsy-turvy college season.

And after LSU beat Tennessee in the SEC title game, slowly the stars started to align for the Bayou Bengals, as both the #1 and #2 team -- who was a 27-point favorite -- both LOST.

I couldn't believe it! I still can't believe it!

Jan. 7 in the New Orleans Superdome -- BE THERE (or in front of your boob-tube)! Ohio State will be WHIPPED!
